How to set the time zone (php)

How to make your php application is using different time zone then server. Can use the script as below.

date_default_timezone_set("Asia/Kuala_Lumpur");
$time_offset ="0"; // Change this to your time zone
$time_a = ($time_offset * 120);
$time = date("h:i:s",time() + $time_a);
echo 'Current time is : '.$time;
?>

Permission Value Meaning

777(rwxrwxrwx)
No restrictions on permissions. Anybody may do anything. Generally not a desirable setting.

755(rwxr-xr-x)
The file’s owner may read, write, and execute the file. All others may read and execute the file. This setting is common for programs that are used by all users.

700(rwx——)
The file’s owner may read, write, and execute the file. Nobody else has any rights. This setting is useful for programs that only the owner may use and must be kept private from others.

666(rw-rw-rw-)
All users may read and write the file.

644(rw-r–r–)
The owner may read and write a file, while all others may only read the file. A common setting for data files that everybody may read, but only the owner may change.

600(rw——-)
The owner may read and write a file. All others have no rights. A common setting for data files that the owner wants to keep private.

Zip in Centos (Linux)

How to use Zip?? Command as below.

zip -r filename.zip files

will zip the file

Note:filename represents the file you are creating and files represents the files you want to put in the new file

unzip filename.zip

will unzip zipfile

zip filename.zip file1 file2 file3

will compress file1, file2, file3 and put them in filename.zip

If you add directory to multiple files

zip filename.zip file1 file2 file3 /home/kcyeapnet/public_html

will compress file1, file2, file3, the contents of the /home/kcyeapnet/public_html directory and put them in filename.zip

Gzip in Centos (Linux)

For the Gzip command,

gzip filename.ext

will be compressed and saved as filename.ext.gz

gunzip filename.ext.gz

The filename.ext.gz is deleted and replaced with filename.ext

gzip filename.gz file1 file2 file3

will compress file1, file2, file3 and put them in filename.gzip.
